Introduction
No To Violence (NTV), the Male Family Violence Prevention Association Inc., is a peak organisation of individuals and agencies working for the prevention of male family violence. The specific focus is work with men to assist them to change and end their violent behaviour.

Mission Statement
To undertake a broad range of activities, including the provision of quality direct and indirect services to men who have used violence towards their family members, which contribute to the prevention of male family violence.


Activities

The range of activities undertaken by NTV include:
  Provision of telephone, counselling, information and referral service for men wishing to change and end their use of violence towards family members
  Support and development of men's behaviour change programs
  Development and provision of training, resources and information
  Data development and analysis
  Education and information provision
  Provision and Support of research
  Contribution to policy development
  Service sector advocacy and leadership.

Aims
Under the NTV Inc. Constitution amended in October 1998, the aims of NTV as a peak organisation are:

"to provide counselling, advisory, referral and educational services to men who have inflicted or are at risk of inflicting violence on family members and to family members exposed to male family violence or the risk of male family violence."

Solely for furthering the above purpose NTV has the following powers:
  To provide a counselling and referral service
  To foster non-violent relationships in families and promote the safety of all family members.
  To facilitate skill development in counsellors and others.
  To encourage recognition in the community of the effects of male violence.
  To facilitate networking, support, and information sharing between counsellors and others.
  To develop and recommend professional standards for counsellors.
  To carry out research and investigations.
  To prepare and disseminate information.
  To subscribe to, become a member of, and co-operate with any other association, service or network whose objects are wholly or in part similar to those of NTV.
